Support Worker Job Description and Person Specification

Description

Do you go the extra mile to make people feel valued and respected? Do you enjoy helping people no matter how small? Do you want to work with a friendly, enthusiastic team supporting others?

If this sounds like you and you feel you’re a naturally caring person that wants to make a real difference to the lives of others, then a job as a support worker with Azure Charitable Enterprises could be just what you are after.

As a Waking Night Support Worker you will be a key member of our team, providing high standards of person-centred support and care to our clients. Through a creative and caring approach, you will build good relationships with both clients and their families, supporting them in the achievement of goals and in living as independently as possible. Both personal care and participation in activities are key tasks for the role, so energy and initiative is vital; experience however is not essential, providing you have a willingness to learn and the compassion and patience needed to support.

We provide comprehensive training throughout the year with mandatory courses. Our induction programme includes enrolment on to the Care Certificate designed to equip health and social care workers with the skills they need to provide compassionate, person-centred care.

The closing date for applications is 31st January 2019

Interview date to be confirmed.

As a company we offer 28 days annual leave increasing to 33 days (inclusive of 8 Bank Holidays), personal pension scheme, sick pay scheme and free life assurance.

Successful applicants will be subject to Enhanced DBS Disclosure (cost met by Azure) and will be expected to complete the Care certificate if required and any additional training requirements to support our clients.

Male only / Female only posts are exempt for the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 SDA Ref S7(2)(B).
